Foods that cause Candida?

Foods don’t actually cause Candida Yeast Infections but they cam make it worse. Because under the right conditions yeast is capable of explosive reproduction and growth, if you have ever made bread, wine or beer you will understand that.

So if a Candida Albicans yeast infection is capable of incredible growth under the right conditions what are the factors that makes our bodies the right environment for Candida to multiply?

There are five recognized causes:

1) A weakened immune system
2) Over-consumption of refined carbohydrates and sugars
3) Medication - steroids, antibiotics, birth control pills, hormones
4) Diabetes
5) Nutritional deficiency.

Foods that "cause Candida Yeast Infections"

The modern diet is high in both sugar and fats and many of the following foods have become basics in the home, unfortunately they will also feed your Candida. Once you have started a Candida Yeast Recovery plan you should consider removing them from your diet.

ALL types of sugar which includes Brown, Granulated, Maple, Date, Dextrose, Fructose, Galactose, Flucose, Gylcogen, Lactose, Maltose, Mannitol, Monosaccharide, Polysaccharides, Sorbitol, Sucrose and finally Molasses, ensure you check the ingredients on all tins and packaging.

* Artificial sweetners such as Nutrasweet and Saccharin
* Salt and salted products
* Caffeine which includes coffee and most teas
* Yeast and products which includes alcoholic and baked items, Marmite, Oxo, Bovril, Bisto and gravy mixes
* Cheeses with rinds, bread, pizza, buns
* Fermented products and condiments that contain vinegar like ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, salad dressings plus root beers and cider.
* Canned fruit juices and fruits.
* Malted products like cereals, candies, barley malt and malted milk,
* Peanut products including oils and butters.
* processed, smoked and cured meats and fish including corned beef, hot dogs, luncheon meats, pastrami and sausages and kippers.
* Pickled foods, vinegar, pickles, chutney and soya sauce.
* Refined grains, cakes, biscuit, white flour products, pasta, corn flour and cereals etc.

This is not a complete list as there are many other foods that can cause Candida yeast infections to grow but these are the main foods and it is advisable to avoid or at least reduce them in your daily diet. Eventually you’ll start to feel better in which case you may restart eating some of these foods once again, but in moderation of course. It would be advisable to observe if the reintroduction of a particular food worsens your Candida condition.

The following foods do not "cause Candida Yeast Infections"

* Onions and garlic,
* Fresh vegetables and their juices
* Rice cakes, un malted oat cakes, Ryvita, Sesame and original only.
* Soya milks, butter, cottage cheese and yoghurts.
* Herbs and mild spices.
* Freshly cracked nuts and seeds
* Water, fruit and herbal teas
* cold pressed oils
* Brown rice and flours when used in cakes and pastries.
* Oats, Porrage is a great breakfast cereal but be sure to make with water and not milk, serve with nuts, seeds and yoghurt to add variety.
* Unprocessed meats, free-range or organic is preferable.
* Unprocessed oily fish
* Eggs, Lentils, pulses, peas and beans

Eliminating the foods that "cause Candida Yeast Infections" will help your condition and the symptoms will eventually reside however there is more to curing your yeast infection than simply adjusting your diet to remove foods that "cause Candida Yeast Infections".
